Among theatrical expression performers based mainly in Osaka
and Kyoto of the  Kansai area, Japan, Mushimaru  Fujieda is
undoubtedly one of the most active artist   in this decade.
His main activity is the "Tennen  Nikutai  Shi (Natural Poetry),
his own Physical  expression, through which he performs as a
solo- performer -dancer; besides,  as a producer, he has worked
to plan and execute numerous art events such as  "Art Batle
  A-Un-Gi", "Moonlight  Celebration", "Chance Operation",
  "Asian  Performing  Arts Now" ,etc.

Also as a director, while creating yearly a solo-dance piece for
his own, he has directed and designed choreography of
"Sou  Ramayana",  a mask dance-drama using masks of
  Himalayan religious ceremonies.

In addition, Mushimaru appears regularly on TV and radio
programs and writes travel pieces to newspapers and
magazines, extending his work to various areas.

The followings are characteristics of his main work, physical
expression activities  that he performs as the
  "Natural Physical Poet":

  1) Whether domestically or abroad,
his work is presented as a form
      of a tour performance.

  2) Majority of his theatrical
     presentations are of collaborations
     with musicians and fine artists,
     regarding improvisation as
     important.

  3) His performance mostly takes
place outdoors or in an unexpected
      situation rather than inside (gallery,
      storage, temple, shrine, park,
       garden, seashore, riverbank, desert,
       ancient, ruin, roadside, etc.)

  4) With the Buddhistic idea of reincarnation underlying,
death and birth, emotional moments of life and gratitude
for being given a life are symbolically expressed  as if
     fragments of a poem.

The world created by Mushimaru Fujieda is full of tension and
lyricism. Led by the aura of Mushimaru's  strong and primordial
physical expression, every one of his audience sets out for the
  timeless world of delicate phantasms.
Do not resist the power. Dispose of all your logical thoughs,
and open up your curiosity fully like a child so as to listen to
  the Physical Poets' mumbles.
The otherworldly journey will for certain remain in your memory
as a special experience as  such.
